Mission and Vision of Church of the Resurrection

Mission

The members of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, proclaiming Jesus Christ as our Head, strive to follow His example by loving and worshiping God, by growing in faith, by ministering to, loving, and welcoming all people.

Vision

The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection strives to be a congregation whose members intentionally grow in God’s love, serve each other, and reach out to all people. Following the example of Jesus, we will apply our lives in these six areas:

Service
We will be responsive to the changing needs of our neighboring communities and beyond through commitments of our time, resources, and love.

Worship
We will offer and participate in Anglican liturgies and other worship experiences that bring those who worship here closer to God.

Evangelism
We will fulfill God’s call to make Christ known through invitation to the unchurched, hospitality to visitors, and incorporation of newcomers. Our inclusive love will affect our local community as well as individuals throughout the world.

Education
We will develop, offer, and maintain formative experiences and events that nurture people of all ages in their Christian identity, empowering them to be faithful Christians who follow God’s call in their lives.

Pastoral Care
We will minister to each other through service and prayer.

Stewardship
We will faithfully nurture and use the gifts, resources, and talents that God has given us to show God’s love for others and promote our growth in God.
