The Rev. Dr. Janet M. Dunnavant

A Kentucky native and long-time Lexington resident, Jan began her ministry at Resurrection in 1993, when the parish was still a small mission congregation. Under her leadership, it has grown into the church it is today.

Jan has a special focus on education in her ministry, leading adult Christian Formation classes and Education For Ministry courses on a regular basis. She also supervises seminary students preparing for their own ministry. Jan has been elected to represent the Diocese of Lexington at four General Conventions of the church, and she chairs the diocesan committee for the Companion Diocese program with the diocese of Haiti.

The Rev. Lois Howard

Lois Howard is Resurrection's Deacon.

Lois comes to Resurrection with a history of providing leadership in the Diocese of Lexington in Christian Formation for the past 20 years. Her passion is Godly Play in which she has been involved for 18 years. She is a Godly Play Trainer, accredited by the Center for the Theology of Childhood, so she travels around helping other churches establish the program. Her Diaconal Ministry is the establishment of a ministry to Alzheimer’s’ patients using the Godly Play model.
